Just finished this book and I am trying to calm down after the CLIFFHANGER with Hunter and Lorrie. I am sad for Hunter and ticked off at Lorrie. She is being ridiculous about the letter and running home like a little girl. Get over it Lorrie, she has started to irritate me. Love the story around Hunter and hope in Book 2 his problems are solved. This book was written well and kept me grasping at every word. This book is a great read and cannot wait for more on Hunter, to see what he is going to do about Lorrie.

Two years ago Lorrie lost everything. Her mother was murdered. Her father couldn't handle her being gone and committed suicide. She was alone. Trying to cope and recover from the tragedy of both their loses Lorrie decides to go back to college and try to get her life together. What she wasn't expecting was to meet Hunter "The Hammer". After he saves her from an accidental drowning she seems to see him everywhere.

Hunter is a cage fighter who will fight anyone and has his own issues going on. Although he is very interested in Lorrie romantically the two decided to try their hand at being friends. As they grow together things become more complicated for both of them as both their pasts come back to haunt them.

I absolutely loved Hunters determination to win Lorrie over. Even after knowing what her demons are and realizing why she does the things she does he still wants her and is willing to fight anyone and anything (including Lorrie herself) to make it happen. Lorrie really made me work at liking her. Knowing her background made me sad.

Even though this was a cliffhanger I liked knowing both of their secrets by the end.
I took one look set the cover and read about this story on and I knew I had to read this book. I love all the MMA fighter guy books. I loved the whole story until the end. I have to wait to find out what is going to happen. I don't want him to die. I want them to get back together and talk about their problems they are having within their lives and come together and be happy. I hope it ends with them together and that he will make it thru this with her and his illness. Thanks for writing a great book and can't wait for the conclusion.
I loved it!!! I loved the sweet moments and the corny moments!!! All wrapped up it became something axing my good!! I loved the characters their banter and the drama in heir pasts!! I would love to see more of Ada!!!! That's the only thing that felt like it was hanging for me... It's clear she cares and is still in love with hunter!!! I want a little more!! I cannot wait for the second book!!!
Two broken people finding each other, falling in love then needing to fully learn to trust each other. They first become friends, even though they both are attracted to each other, because Lorrie feels she's not ready to be in a relationship at this point in her life. Hunter wants her in his life any way he can have her, so if being friends is all she can give (for now) then that's what he wants.

This book is book 1 in the series and there is a cliffhanger, but book 2, Rescued, is already out with the beautiful conclusion.
Great read if...you enjoy romance books, NA novels, bad boys, MMA fighting, sex, steamy sex, graphic sex, relationships, budding friendships, drama, hiding from your past, unexpected turns, plot twists, playful banter, witty moments, tragedies, and an unexpected ending.

Side Note So here's the thing with this book. I wanted to read this book awhile back, but was scared away because some fans of Walking Disaster, tore this book to shreds and said all sorts of very negative things about it. Basically they said it was like a discount version of Jamie's work. I love Jamie's work so much that I took this to heart and stayed away from the book like bad ju-ju. But recently I had seen it advertised again and it keep clawing at me to give it a shot, and I'm so glad I did. Here's the thing, there are several books out right now with "bad boy fighters who change for a girl", its a storyline that's common, let's be real folks. However it's all about execution, vibe, and surprise. This book has a COMPLETELY different feel all together. I read this book and I got a pure love story vibe, a modern fairytale feel, even with the tons of sex included. However, the twist of this book, the shocker, is what really blew me the hell out of the water! This book was amazing and leaves the need to have to see what's next, a desperate passion to hope everything gets better. I feel like I need them like they need each other. Book 2...here I come!
Great story, love everything... I like the flow most of the time, sometimes felt slow, but I kept reading and without a doubt it was rewarded..... Couldn't put the book down...
